Creating Environments

Setting Up Your Development Stages

Creating new environments is like building additional stages for your theatrical production - each one serves a specific purpose in your development workflow. Whether you need a testing environment or want to set up a production-ready space, FlexSite makes it easy to create the environments you need.

The Environment Creation Process

When you create a new environment, FlexSite guides you through a simple setup process. You'll start by giving your environment a name and choosing its type - development, staging, or production. This is like deciding what role this stage will play in your production.

Configuration and Customization

Each environment can have its own unique configuration. You can set resource limits, performance settings, and security configurations that are appropriate for that environment's purpose. For example, your development environment might have more debugging tools enabled, while your production environment focuses on performance and security.

Post-Creation Setup

Once your environment is created, you'll want to configure additional elements like custom domains, environment variables for your application, and backup schedules. These configurations ensure your environment is ready for its specific role in your development process.

How to Create a New Environment

  1. Start the creation process by clicking 'Create Environment' from the environments page
  2. Name your environment and select its type (development, staging, or production)
  3. Set up domain settings for the environment
  4. Configure resource allocation and performance settings
