Overview
FlexSite uses credits instead of listing every server line item on your invoice. Think of credits as tokens that pay for hosting actions: creating sites, adding environments, bigger servers, backups, and more.
Key concepts
- Credits remaining — your current balance, visible on Billing. When it hits zero, some actions pause until you upgrade or the next billing period refreshes your pool.
- Credits limit — the maximum credits your plan includes per billing cycle.
- Metered actions — operations that spend credits include: new environments, raising Build Settings (CPU/RAM), backups, content sync between environments, some domain publications, and Atom site creation.
Credits apply at the organization level — all projects in the org share the same pool.
Steps — check your balance
- Open Billing.
- Read the credits widget and plan name (TRIAL, ACTIVE, etc.).
- Open Usage for a line-by-line breakdown by project and feature.
Plan states (simple guide)
- TRIAL — evaluation account with a small starter pool (often around 20 credits). Enough to explore, not always enough for production launch.
- ACTIVE — paid subscription; credits refresh per your plan terms and more features unlock (custom domains, Support).
- FROZEN — billing problem; credits cannot be spent until payment is fixed. Existing sites may stop updating.
Atom note
Creating an Atom site deducts a fixed credit amount at the moment the site is created. See Atom Billing and Credits for details.
