Trial, Frozen, and Plan States

Applies to: All

Overview

Every organization has a subscription status that controls which features work. Understanding these states helps you plan launches and avoid surprise lockouts.

TRIAL (evaluation)

  • You receive a limited credit pool to try FlexSite (commonly around 20 credits).
  • Custom domains (your own .com address) are usually blocked — visitors use the FlexSite-provided URL instead.
  • Support tickets may be unavailable until you upgrade.
  • The publication wizard may prompt you to choose a paid plan before going live.
  • What to do: Experiment with Atom or a Codeless sandbox, then open BillingUpgrade before a marketing launch.

ACTIVE (paid and current)

  • Features match your purchased plan: credit refresh, custom domains, Support, normal deploys.
  • Invite unlimited teammates subject to your plan’s seat rules.
  • What to do: Monitor Usage monthly so staging environments do not quietly consume credits.

PAST_DUE (payment issue starting)

  • A renewal charge failed. FlexSite may retry automatically.
  • What to do: Update your card on Billing immediately to avoid FROZEN.

FROZEN (account paused)

  • Often caused by failed payment or policy enforcement.
  • New deploys, syncs, environment creation, and resource increases are blocked.
  • Live sites may become read-only or unreachable until resolved.
  • What to do: Open Billing, fix the payment method, confirm status returns to ACTIVE, then retry the blocked action.

Steps — recover from FROZEN

  1. Open Billing.
  2. Update payment details or contact your account manager if you are on an enterprise contract.
  3. Wait for status to show ACTIVE (refresh the page).
  4. Retry publication, deploy, or sync that failed earlier.
