Launch and Provisioning

Applies to: Codeless

Overview

After you click Create Project on a Codeless site, FlexSite spends several minutes provisioning — standing up servers, installing Drupal, applying your chosen template and theme, and generating a temporary URL. This page explains what happens and what you should do while you wait.

What happens behind the scenes

  1. FlexSite allocates hosting resources (application server, database, cache).
  2. The site template you chose (Starter, Byte, Haven, or marketplace pack) is installed — content types, sample pages, and configuration.
  3. The selected theme is applied so the front end matches the design you picked.
  4. A default environment URL is created so you can preview the site before attaching your own domain.

You do not need to run installers or upload files manually during this phase.

Steps — monitor provisioning

  1. After Create Project, open the project Overview.
  2. Watch the environment card — status moves from provisioning to ready.
  3. When ready, click Quick Login to open Drupal admin and review the starter content.
  4. Open Environments if you need the exact hostname or plan to add staging later.

If provisioning seems stuck

  1. Open BillingTRIAL credit exhaustion or FROZEN status blocks new infrastructure.
  2. Read any Site Alerts and Configuration Advisories on the environment Overview.
  3. On ACTIVE plans, open Support if the card stays in error for more than an hour.

Credits

Creating an environment spends credits (default server size is included in the quoted creation cost). Larger Build Settings later will add ongoing usage — see BillingUsage.
