Overview
Digital Assets (DAM) is your organization’s shared media library — one place to upload images and files, then reuse them across multiple Codeless websites. Instead of uploading the same logo into every site separately, you upload once and connect each site.
Key concepts
- Library — browse and upload photos, PDFs, and other files.
- Image Styles — predefined crops and sizes (thumbnail, hero banner, etc.) so Drupal displays the right dimensions automatically.
- Connect to Site — links a specific project environment to the library so Drupal can pull assets securely.
Sidebar structure
- Digital Assets → Library — upload and organize files.
- Digital Assets → Image Styles — define how images should be resized.
- Digital Assets → Connect to Site — pair the DAM with a Drupal environment.
Steps — upload assets
- Open Digital Assets → Library.
- Click Upload and choose files from your computer.
- Add titles, alt text, or folders if your workflow uses them — this helps editors find images later.
- After Connect to Site, editors pick assets inside Drupal media fields.
Permissions
- Most org members can browse the library.
- Uploading, deleting, or changing styles may require admin roles — ask your org owner if buttons are missing.
Project shortcut
From inside a project, Digital Assets in the sidebar opens the library filtered to that project’s connect workflow.
